Taylored Expressions Hexagon Cutting Plate

I have a wonderful cutting plate die made by Taylored Expressions - one of my favorite craft companies.  The moment I saw this cutting plate I knew it had many possibilities. The die cut can be used whole, in parts and as you can see in the photo, the positive cut pieces can be used alone or to reinsert to create an inlaid effect.

The flower was created by trimming the die cut to create two flower shapes that were then overlapped.

I created the center of the flower by covering one of the little hexagon pieces with gold metallic pigment ink and then using thick clear embossing powder, heated it up to create a glossy 3D piece.

Here is the inside of the card.

The paper I used behind the die cuts was from the Bo Bunny 6X6 Pad Serenade Collection. I believe I got it from The Flying Unicorn - one of my very favorite scrapbook companies.
The stacked oval dies are from Sizzix  - Oval Framelits #657563.
The stamps that I used to heat emboss the sentiments are from the Verve Chevron Love Collection.

I have one more Taylored Expressions hexagon cutting plate example to share.  I made it for a dear friend of mine.  The background paper came from the stash of a friend of mine. I don't know the name of the company but I love this pretty paper.  The flowers were made with Fiskars' Oopsie Daisy Punch.  The center of the flowers was glittered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Cloud Nine Semi-transparent glitter.  It's a very fine and gorgeous glitter.  The photo doesn't do it justice.

I was not paid or compensated for this post.  All the products I have mentioned are products I own and use. I include the links to the companies and products in my post to offer support to the companies I appreciate and also as a service to my readers who would like to find out more about the companies or products.

Have a great day.  I hope you enjoyed the projects.
